Professional Experience

1. Engaged as Instructor in Computer Technology from 24th July 2006 to 28th of February 2009 as temporary and from 02.03.2009 to up to date as permanent for Computer Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna.
My Responsibility includes
v Conduct lectures of Computer Literacy and Basic Application for first year student.
v Conduct lectures of Computer Applications in Bio-Statistics, MS Excel, AutoCAD, SPSS, Minitab, SAS and ArcView GIS for fourth year specialization students.

2. Engaged as Civil Engineering/ Geotechnical Engineering Assistant on contract basis from 28th April 2006 to 31st May 2006 for Ministry of Environment Reconstruction & Development Agency (RADA) assisted Rapid Environmental Assessment on Tsunami Permanent Housing sites in Sri Lanka at Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and Ministry of Environment, “Sampathpaya”, No 82, Rajamalwatta Road, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka.
My Responsibility includes
v  The primary object of the study is to identify the nature and magnitude of environmental issues related to permanent housing sites and to make necessary recommendations for mitigation.
v  The secondary objective of the study is capacity building at the local level through participation of universities.

3. Engaged as IT Support Officer on contract basis from 4th April 2005 to 31th December 2005   for Asian Development Bank (ADB) assisted water supply and sanitation feasibility study for Jaffna peninsula at SMEC International (Pvt) Ltd in association with Ceywater Consultants (Pvt) Ltd  
My Responsibility includes
v Using GIS Software in mapping of existing boreholes, water supply scheme, community wells, Land use map, soil identification map and sketch the area maps (District/ Divisional Secretary level/ GND level/ population wise including Road network) and updating and maintain the data in geo database.
v Using MS Excel prepare spread sheet for bore hole/ well locations and calculating Population growth rate/ Water demand.
v Maintain and updating Water level and EC of every well for every year in MS Access database.
v Sending and receiving messages by E_mail
v Maintenance Local Area Network at office and take backup data from all computers every week.
